An art show celebrating the works of local African American artists will appear in the Main Library Gallery on Lower Level One through February 29, with an Artist’s Reception on Saturday, February 25 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Please join the artists for light refreshments and an opportunity to discuss their work. The Peoria area is rich in talented black artists and visitors will be able to enjoy all their work in one place. Featured artists include: Jonathon Romain, Andrea Ellen Reed, Larry Hendricks, Preston Jackson, Rashad Reed and Elijah T. Sansom. The Gallery is open during regular library hours, Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and viewing the exhibit is free and open to the public.
