More than 60 pieces of donated artwork will be auctioned at the 11th Annual Hearts of Hope, Gertrude Kelley Memorial Art Auction Saturday at the Peoria Country Club. The artwork includes paintings, photography, ceramics, woodworking and sculpture.

The show includes photographs by Vicki Taufer, owner of Vgallery in Morton. She was named the 2010 Featured Artist for Hearts of Hope for her generous support of the event over several years. Taufer’s work has been published in several books and trade magazines. She has traveled the world as a keynote speaker and has won many prestigious international awards.

Hearts of Hope begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour and works of art available through a silent auction. After dinner, there will be a live auction of selected pieces chosen from all those donated. The evening will end with a raffle drawing for a 14K white gold necklace with black pearls and diamonds created especially for Hearts of Hope by AJ Bremer of Bremer Jewelry. Tickets are $100 each. All proceeds from Hearts of Hope will support the programs of education, awareness and advocacy of the Mental Health Association of Illinois Valley.
